President’s Welcoming Reception

Please plan to join our President, Patrick Cartwright, MD and his wife Deborah, for a relaxing evening with your colleagues and friends while getting to know a little about Monterey’s famous jazz history. Located in the beautiful DeAnza Ballroom of the Portola Hotel, we plan to serve up a delicious array of food stations and beverages in a warm, casual setting with of course the good vibes of live jazz music and a special blast from the past you won’t want to miss! Western Section Night at Jack’s Lounge – NEW LOCATION
Wednesday, November 6, – 6:30-9:00 pm
Western Section Night is the highlight of the week and this year is no exception as we break away from the “banquet hall” and do something a little different. Jack’s Lounge is located in the hotel where we can conveniently enjoy a fun evening with live entertainment and plenty of seating! The excellent and ample food stations and atmosphere will delight and offer plenty for everyone – and if you are in the mood, take a quick tour of Peter B’s Brewpub next door with the Brewmaster. Cocktail attire or business casual. Badges required. Exhibitors and children of registered parents are welcome.
Exhibit Hall Reception…and Resident’s Bowl Competition
Tuesday, November 5 – 5:30-7:00pm
Everyone is invited to this fun and educational activity before heading out for the evening. Wine tasting, artisan cheeses and charcuterie to be featured. Take the opportunity to mingle casually and meet company representatives who are dedicated to helping patients, urology and the WSAUA. As a bonus – don’t miss the 2nd Round of the Resident’s Bowl which starts at 6:30pm to about 7pm. Badge required. Dress is business casual. No Children under age of 18 are allowed in the exhibit hall.
Remember – the exhibit hall is all about keeping you up-to-date with the tools of the trade and innovations in technology. Please make time to visit the exhibits and learn the latest.
Special Guest Program
Wine Tasting Visit to Carmel Valley
Tuesday, November 5 – 10:30am-2:30pm
After the spouse hospitality, plan to hop on our group shuttle with friends where you can take your time, tasting, lunching, shopping, and sightseeing in pristine Carmel Valley. The shuttle will drop you off (and pick you up) at Carmel Valley Village where you can set-out to the local wine tasting rooms conveniently located and within walking distance – see map. There are also very nice restaurants in the Village for you to choose from to have lunch with friends (lunch not included). This activity is included in the spouse/guest registration package and includes wine tasting coupons and round trip transportation. Must be a registered spouse/guest.
